American Home Builders is a wholly owned subsidiary of Americas Home Place, founded in 1972. It has over 40 years of impeccable service to its customers. American Home Builders is proud to provide services to the Hurricane Ike recovery effort in the Galveston area, including work with Galveston County (GHAP), Chambers County and Liberty County. Between these programs and Hurricane Rita recovery, American Home Builders has built over 370 houses in the Galveston/Beaumont areas. Staff consists of Barry Conner, president; Wayne Norris, CFO; Diane Eiland, vice president; Richard Smith, division vice president; Nina Lala, Texas coordinator; David Newman, superintendent; Greg Scheidt, superintendent; Mark Holley, superintendent; and Russell Miller, estimating and purchasing. James Pozzi has served as senior executive vice president, chief administrative officer for American National Insurance Company since 2008. He has been an officer of the company for 36 years and is also a director and/or officer of various subsidiaries of the company. Mr. Pozzi holds a Bachelor of Science in Math from Texas A&M University. He is a member of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and the American Academy of Actuaries.

Albert Shannon is the market president of Frost Bank/Galveston. He has been with Frost Bank (formerly U.S. National Bank) since 1983.
A graduate of the University of Texas, Albert has resided in Galveston since 1976 and remains active in numerous civic organizations in the community.

Bill Malacrida was appointed president of Rolls-Royce Commercial Marine Inc. in 2006 and is responsible for all operational and administrative aspects of the company’s commercial marine business in North America – with eleven full-service and sales locations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Bill is based in Houston at the Commercial Marine North America headquarters and has spent his entire career in the marine industry. He has worked in the shipbuilding sector and has an extensive background in marine engineering, shipbuilding technology, business development and shipyard management. Before joining Roll-Royce, he was president and chief executive officer of Wartsila North America, Inc.
