This year marks the 167th anniversary of the Galveston Chamber of Commerce, Texas’ first Chamber, and we remain honored to serve YOU, the business community!

The Galveston Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and staff realize that in order to have a strong economic environment, you must have a strong community that supports and encourages growth and innovative thinking. We have representatives from the business community, educators, community leaders and private citizens who recognize that we all share in the responsibility of creating economic success and stability as well as a healthy community environment for our citizens.

Our mission – To Promote and Advocate for Business – requires us to be the eyes, ears and voice of the business community. We work daily with local and regional governments and business related agencies to protect YOUR interests and to keep the community healthy through a vital commercial sector. We work with other local, civic and private groups to encourage new business development, create awareness of problems facing our community and develop potential solutions, and to be a source of information and support for YOU.

We continue to think “out of the box” and serve the business community through a wide variety of committees, programs and services that include educational seminars, events, monthly mixers, referrals, resource networking opportunities, Ambassador Club and the award-winning C-Crewe. Involvement in these activities has proved successful for those who participate.

For 167 years, the Chamber has provided leadership for our community, building on the successes of those before us and continuing to develop new and innovative strategies that will make Galveston Island an even better place to Live, Work, Play and Raise a Family!
